Exciting Couple Days

Well Saturday evening Lainee got pretty sick, throwing up, fever of 105, loss of appetite, lots of fun. Well, we attributed it to teething, and Sunday morning and afternoon she was her pleasant happy self so we thought all was well. Well, Sunday night we went through the same pattern. monday morning we brought her in to the pediatrician who took some labs and immediately admitted her into the hospital. Here's what we know, their theory at the moment is that she started out with a urinary tract infection that moved into her kidneys. They're pumping her with antibiotics and fluids to try to wash it out. They are worried that she has reflux (from what I understand, similar to the stomach, except it's between the bladder and kidneys). So they're wanting to test for that, but they won't until the infection is gone. They've already done an ultrasound, and right now the kidneys look okay. They won't have her blood culture until tomorrow afternoon, and then they said they'll know more. So we'll be here in the hospital until Wednesday at least. Will post pictures soon.
